Pilgrimage - Return to Source, Monday morning 10am - 2.30pm, 30th December 2024

£12.00

Walk from Allesley to see the source (or sources) of the River Sherbourne on a circular, guided route. ‘Returning to source’ is at the heart of many spiritual practices. Curious? Come and walk with like-minded people on a journey which opens us to the prospect of a mindful reconection to ourselves, nature and beyond. Offered as a follow on from the ‘Practical intro to pilgrimage’ with plenty of opportunities to practice what we tried. Equally appropriate for those simply wanting a guided walk to the source of the Sherbourne. We will gather at 9.45am with the intention of setting off at 10am. The route rises about 300ft with terrain across farmland footpaths and country lanes. Come dressed appropriately as we go in any weather. We have a comfort/toilet break just over half way. Pace is quicker than the ‘Intro’ and more strenuous than ‘Cathedral’ but still with time for reflection.

This is an ideal follow on from Introduction to Practical Pilgrimage but it is not a prerequisite. Those simply wishing to walk to the source/s of the river with company and a guide are most welcome.
